da-yu-ling-1-7-mile-high-oolong-tea
Da Yu Ling 1.7 Mile High Oolong Tea
In the mist-shrouded peaks of Da Yu Ling, where tea bushes nestle amongst fruit trees at 2,650 metres, grows what many consider Taiwan's finest oolong. This is peak spring harvest from the highest cultivated tea garden in the world.

Only one harvest each year, combined with the mineral-rich, rocky soil and extreme altitude, creates an intensity of flavour simply unmatched elsewhere. The result? A tea of remarkable complexity that unfolds across multiple infusions.

From the first sip, you'll notice the distinctive character — a lingering weight balanced by surprising freshness. Delicate aromatic notes of peach and apple emerge, whilst a natural sweetness develops on the palate. As you continue brewing through the afternoon, further layers reveal themselves: floral whispers, honeyed richness, caramel undertones, buttery macadamia.

We're privileged to stock this extraordinary tea, thanks to our friend Chien-Chen, a master tea producer, who reserves a portion of his own annual allocation for us. It's the kind of tea that's rarely available — most of the harvest is claimed before it even leaves the garden.

This is a tea for those who appreciate true rarity and depth. Brew it slowly, brew it often, and discover why Da Yu Ling commands such reverence amongst serious tea drinkers.
