Clear Glass Petal Gaiwan

A contemporary glass version of the traditional Chinese gaiwan, designed for brewing loose-leaf tea directly in the bowl.

The clear glass allows you to watch the leaves unfurl and the colour of the infusion develop. holes in the lid helps hold back the larger leaves as the tea is poured, making it easier to use than a completely open gaiwan.

The softly fluted, petal-shaped bowl gives it a distinctive form and makes it comfortable to hold. Add the leaves, pour over the water and replace the lid while the tea infuses. The tea can then be poured into a cup or fairness jug, keeping the lid slightly tilted to control the flow.

Particularly suited to teas that can be infused several times, including oolong, green, white and puerh tea.

Supplied with the clear glass brewing bowl and matching lid. A saucer is not included.
