Crispy Raspberry Chocolate Covered Liquorice

Crispy Raspberry is one of the freshest, fruitiest flavours in the Lakrids by Bülow range.

Soft sweet liquorice sits beneath smooth white chocolate, delicate raspberry flakes and a subtle touch of strawberry, all enclosed in a crisp red sugar shell. The first bite gives a satisfying crunch before giving way to creamy chocolate, bright berry fruit and finally the deeper sweetness of the liquorice centre.

It’s that contrast that makes this so much more interesting than an ordinary sweet. Raspberry brings freshness and a little natural sharpness, strawberry rounds the fruit out, and the white chocolate gives everything a soft, creamy backdrop. Then the liquorice gradually comes through underneath.

This is exactly the sort of layered flavour that makes Lakrids by Bülow sit so naturally in our range. Much like a good tea or coffee, there is more than one thing happening as you taste it.

I’d particularly enjoy Crispy Raspberry with fragrant black tea, green tea, fruity oolong or a bright, aromatic coffee. The fresh berry character works especially well with teas and coffees that have their own natural fruitiness.

55% white chocolate (cocoa solids: 26% minimum) (sugar, cocoa butter, whole MILK powder, emulsifiers: SOYAlecithin, lecithin, natural flavour), 16% sugar, rice flour, invert sugar syrup, molasses, glucose syrup, 2% raspberry (freeze-dried), 1% raw liquorice, strawberry (freeze-dried), rapeseed oil, salt, glazing agents: carnauba wax, shellac, gum arabic, colours: carmine, beta-carotene, stabilizer: gum arabic, natural flavours.
