Shun Green Gold Cast Iron Teapot 0.7L
FREE UK DELIVERY FOR ORDERS OVER £42
A beautiful balance of Japanese-inspired design, colour and craftsmanship.
With its wonderfully shallow, rounded silhouette and delicate lines radiating from the centre of the lid, the Shun cast iron teapot is as much a pleasure to admire as it is to use. The softly textured green finish has an almost weathered quality, with fine gold detailing catching the light and accentuating its distinctive sunburst pattern. A gracefully curved bronze-gold handle completes the design.
Beyond its appearance, Shun has all the practical qualities that make cast iron teapots so appealing. Its substantial body retains heat beautifully, helping to keep your tea warm while you enjoy a second or third cup. The enamelled interior provides a protective barrier between the tea and the cast iron, helping to prevent rust and making the pot easier to maintain without affecting the flavour of your tea.
A removable infuser strainer makes brewing loose leaf tea wonderfully straightforward. Simply add your chosen leaves, allow them to infuse for the appropriate time, then lift out the strainer to prevent overbrewing.
With a generous 0.7 litre capacity, Shun is ideal for sharing tea or enjoying a leisurely pot to yourself. Particularly lovely for green, oolong and black teas, its combination of understated colour and intricate detailing makes it an equally thoughtful gift for anyone who appreciates beautiful tea equipment.

Care Instructions
With a little care, your Shun cast iron teapot will provide many years of enjoyment.
-
Before first use: Rinse the teapot and removable infuser thoroughly with warm water.
-
After each use: Empty any remaining tea and leaves, then gently rinse the enamelled interior with warm water. Wash the removable strainer separately.
-
Dry thoroughly: Wipe the teapot dry with a soft cloth, paying particular attention to the lid, rim and any exposed cast iron surfaces. Avoid leaving water standing inside.
-
Protect the enamel: Do not use metal utensils, abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that might scratch or chip the protective lining.
-
Avoid prolonged soaking: Never leave your teapot submerged in water or place it in the dishwasher.
-
Heating: This teapot is designed for brewing and serving tea, not for boiling water. Do not place it directly on a hob, open flame or in a microwave.
-
Storage: Store in a dry, well-ventilated place, leaving the lid slightly open until completely dry.
For the best results, warm the teapot with a little hot water before brewing, then discard this water before adding your leaves and fresh brewing water.
