Discover Sumatran Jumpa Jaya, a coffee unlike any other. Grown in the mist-shrouded highlands of Aceh by the Arinagata Cooperative, this Gayo Arabica represents the pinnacle of Indonesian coffee craftsmanship.
Sourced from 2,000+ small-hold farmers nestled in the Aceh rainforest at elevations up to 5,500 feet, every bean tells the story of volcanic soil, mountain air and generations of expertise. The Gayo varietal flourishes only here — demanding high altitude, humidity and lower light intensity for its distinctive character to develop. Farmers tend the land traditionally, without irrigation, using organic methods passed down through families.
Our dark roast transforms the coffee's bright notes — herbal, grapefruit, cherry, white grape and fresh flowers — into something altogether richer: cedar, maple, black treacle, liquorice and sweet tobacco, with whispers of spice and raisin woven throughout. The result is a cup of remarkable syrupy depth and silky smoothness, where the volcanic terroir sings through every sip.
In 2017, Kopi Arabika Gayo earned Protected Geographical Indications status from the European Union — a distinction held by only the finest regional products, from Champagne to Parmigiano Reggiano. This protection recognises both the unique natural conditions of the Gayo highlands and the skill of those who cultivate them.
Harvested between March and June. Certified organic and Fairtrade.
