Processed by a special method called 'cut, tear and curl', it is a machine-processed Assam for those who like really dark, strong tea. It has a doughy note to its aroma with a heavy, malty, spicy taste. It brews very quickly and to a gloriously deep red colour. It's great for adding weight to other teas too if you like to blend your own. We buy this tea from different gardens according to the seasonal quality available from Assam in India. We buy from gardens that are members of the Ethical Tea Partnership and Rainforest Alliance.
