This fully washed coffee was grown on 'La Esperanza' farm owned and worked by Gerardo Carvajal in the Bruselas, Huila region of Colombia, 1,600 meters above sea level. In this darkly roasted form, its complex character is described as having: notes of stonefruit, plum, toffee apple, brown sugar, dark chocolate and hazelnut. La Esperanza achieves some of the highest premiums for it and arguably Colombia's finest coffee. Artisan roasted in our 2kg micro-coffee roaster.

This fully washed coffee was grown on 'La Esperanza' farm owned and worked by Gerardo Carvajal in the Bruselas, Huila region of Colombia, 1,600 meters above sea level. In roasted bean form, it has a fragrance of caramelised sugar and bittersweet cocoa. In this darkly roasted form, its complex character is described as having: notes of stonefruit, plum, toffee apple, brown sugar, dark chocolate and hazelnut. La Esperanza sits high up in the Andes Mountains offering beautiful views of the dense native forest. La Esperanza achieves some of the highest premiums for it and arguably Colombia's finest coffee. Huila is located in southern Colombia and bordered by the mighty Andean sub-ranges of "Cordillera Oriental"� and "Cordillera Central"�. Whilst Huila is naturally blessed with optimal coffee growing geography, the key to great quality coffees is the growers themselves. Coffee farming within the region is overwhelmingly small-scale. The Huila region is also known for its diverse flora and fauna, Colombia boasts more than 10% of the world's endemic species.
