This hand-picked tea is processed skilfully by hand to produce its elegant shape. An unusual flat, smooth leaf in the style of Long Jing green tea, that is worked by hand in a wok. It grows on the 'big leaf' tea tree, in common with our Tea of Life, in the Fujian Province. It has a rich tasting, fruity liquor with a lingering aroma of chocolate and fresh raspberries. It also has notes of cocoa and according to some of our customers a hint of ginger. That is the beauty of great varieties of Chinese black tea they seem to taste different each time you make them. It is produced in the mountains of Fujian province and can only be created on a few days of the year and in very small quantities. This tea is extremely exclusive and a current Imperial favourite. It is produced in the mountains of Fujian province and can only be created on a few days of the year and in very small quantities. An interesting aspect of production is that the bushes are shaded for three weeks prior to plucking to increase the chlorophyll content in the leaves. This increases the sweetness in the tea.
