Honeybush was discovered in South Africa in the 17th Century. The honeybush shrub owes its name to its characteristic appearance of bright yellow blossoms that smell of honey. These wild grown plants exclusively thrive on small mountain ranges in the so-called Longkloof District. The infusion tastes pleasantly sweet and aromatic and can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. It is another alternative to the popular Redbush or 'Rooibos', so can also be taken with or without milk. Have you tried sweetening herbal tea with natural liquorice root or Stevia leaf?
