Each bowl is made and coloured by hand and is therefore unique. There may be slight deviations in colour and shape of the bowl it contains.

In the MINO area, in the southern part of the Japanese Prefecture GIFU, pottery called MINO-YAKI has been produced for more than 1000 years. A wide range of techniques such as Oribe, Shino, Kizeto, etc. are used to create a wide variety of tableware and tea ceremony items. Centres such as Tajimi, Toki and Mizunami, together account for 50% of the total contemporary pottery production.
