MATCHA KYUSHU ISLAND DAISHI-SAN CEREMONIAL GREEN TEA POWDER
Premium Matcha – From Kyushu, Blended by Tea Master Daishi-san.
A delicate powder with an intense jade colour. A rich, mellow taste on the palate with a delicious flavour. Initially vegetal and grassy, slightly astringent with a tannin sensation followed by a smooth finish. Full of umami. It is not bitter like poor quality matcha.
Harvested on the southern Japanese island of Kyushu—home to over 200 organic tea farms—this is truly one of the finest premium matcha teas. Carefully cultivated by our partner farmers and blended by the renowned “cellar master” Daishi-san, this rare matcha is produced from a single annual harvest and crafted to deliver consistent quality and purity year after year.</p>
Grown under 80% shade for 4 to 6 weeks before harvest, the tea leaves draw nutrients deep from the soil, developing high concentrations of chlorophyll, L-theanine, flavonoids, and other beneficial compounds. Once harvested, the leaves are steamed, dried, and transformed into tencha before being slowly stone-milled into an ultra-fine, vibrant green matcha powder.
- Floral and fruity taste with deep umami and no bitterness.
- Rich in antioxidants, L-theanine, and theine - supports focus, mood, and cognitive function.
- Only one hand-picked harvest per year ensures the highest quality and nutrient content.
- Slow stone-ground to preserve flavour and freshness.
- Packaged in airtight, recyclable tins for lasting freshness.
This tea is made using traditional Japanese techniques passed down through generations. Unlike mass-produced matcha—which is harvested 2 to 3 times per year with chemical inputs—this matcha is certified pesticide-free, and lab-tested for safety, purity, and quality.
Each 30g tin is produced in small batches and ground at a low speed (just 30g per hour) on handcrafted granite mills. This protects the matcha from heat damage and ensures the resulting powder is extremely fine, preserving all the flavour and nutrients.
For those who simply want the best—authentic, rare, and deeply satisfying matcha from the heart of Kyushu.
