MATCHA THE FOX CEREMONIAL GREEN TEA POWDER
This matcha is grown on the island of Kyushu, southern Japan, by specialist partner farms. The young tea leaves are shaded for 4–6 weeks before harvest, encouraging vivid green colour, natural sweetness, depth and umami.
For this premium matcha there is one hand-picked harvest each year. The finest spring leaves are selected, steamed to prevent oxidation, dried, cut and refined into tencha — the leaf traditionally used for high-quality drinking matcha.
The tencha is then sorted and selected by the renowned “cellar master” Daishi-san, who creates the final blend for balance, colour, aroma, texture and flavour. It is slowly milled on granite stone mills, which turn gently to avoid excess heat and preserve the delicacy of the leaf. A rare, carefully made tea for those who want matcha in its purest form.
The result is an ultra-fine, intensely green matcha with a smooth, layered character. Unlike ordinary green tea, matcha is whisked directly into water and enjoyed whole.</p>
Grown under 80% shade for 4 to 6 weeks before harvest, the tea leaves draw nutrients deep from the soil, developing high concentrations of chlorophyll, L-theanine, flavonoids, and other beneficial compounds. Once harvested, the leaves are steamed, dried, and transformed into tencha before being slowly stone-milled into an ultra-fine, vibrant green matcha powder.

THINGS TO KNOW
Naturally contains antioxidants (including EGCG) and caffeine + L-theanine—often described as smooth, steady energy.
Compared with coffee, many people find matcha feels less jittery and more balanced—especially when enjoyed mid-morning or early afternoon.
“Ceremonial” usually describes how matcha is used (whisked with water), not an official, regulated grade.
For traditional drinking, look for a bright green colour and a smooth, sweet-umami taste.
Freshness matters: Reseal tightly. Store in the tin in a fridge. Once opened best enjoyed within 8 weeks.
