SALT & CARAMEL CHOCOLATE COVERED LIQUORICE

Salt & Caramel is one of those combinations that sounds simple until you taste it properly.

At the centre is Lakrids by Bülow’s soft sweet liquorice, wrapped in caramelised dulce chocolate and finished with crunchy flakes of sea salt. The result is rich and creamy at first, then gently salty, before the deeper liquorice character comes through underneath.

It is beautifully balanced rather than simply sweet. The caramelised chocolate brings a warm, almost toffee-like richness, while the sea salt sharpens the flavour and keeps everything lively. The liquorice gives the whole thing a much longer, more interesting finish.

Salt & Caramel is particularly good with rich black teas, breakfast blends and smooth, rounded coffees, where the caramel and roasted notes echo each other beautifully.

Ingredients: 61% dulce chocolate (sugar, milk powder, cocoa butter, whey powder, cocoa mass, milk fat, emulsifiers: soya lecithin, lecithin; natural flavours), rice flour, sugar, invert sugar syrup, treacle, glucose syrup, 3% raw liquorice, 1% sea salt, dextrose, rapeseed oil, salt, alkalised cocoa, glazing agent: shellac, anise oil.

Minimum 23% cocoa solids. Gluten free.
