The Wide-Eyed Wanderer is a handcrafted ceramic sheep tea pet designed to bring quiet presence to the practice of gongfu tea.

Slightly taller at 7.8 cm, it carries a gentle alertness — rounded eyes forward, stance subtly poised as if paused between steps. The textured ceramic body evokes natural fleece, while the smooth, dark face adds depth and contrast without excess detail.

In gongfu tea tradition, a tea pet is shaped by ritual. Excess tea is poured over the figure during preparation, allowing the ceramic tea pet to slowly acquire a soft patina. With time and repetition, the surface gains warmth and character, reflecting the sessions it has shared.

There is a touch more animation here than in its companion, yet it remains balanced and composed. On the tea tray, it feels attentive rather than playful — present without intrusion.
